- For over a decade, the area housing former Korean restaurant Han Il in the Bush Hotel sat abandoned as a vacant fixture in the Chinatown International District, its large bay windows looking out onto Hing Hay Park and revealing nothing more than empty space inside. With a little help from generous donors, as well as a lot of people power and not to mention lobbying at our capital, Hing Hay Coworks, the very first non-profit coworking space in Chinatown International District was born. What was once a deserted restaurant is now a newly renovated coworking space ready to be inhabited and teeming with possibility. Hing Hay Coworks aims to build a community of people who not only about creating new businesses, but also about care for the neighborhood.
