- KD Commercial Services was started from my years spent working in what I call a "sick office". There was a twice weekly cleaning service, but no sanitizing of surfaces or good bathroom/lunchroom cleaning was performed. When a new person was hired, within two weeks, they would always be sick. Staff members were constantly getting ill. I knew that there were many good commercial cleaning companies in the Greater Portland Metro area, and wanted to add my skills to the pool of options that companies have to choose from. As the company grew, I realized a need for post-remodeling cleanup, rental unit cleaning, real estate services for listings, and post-sale cleaning for new homeowners. I enjoy the act of cleaning a space, and leaving it sparkling. Training the new employees on proper cleaning techniques is great, and they typically take those skills home with them, as well. Do what you love, and you will do it well.
