- Officially, we opened in January of 2021, but we have been in the earthworks and forestry business for many years providing services to family/friends and referrals as a side to our full-time jobs. Doug Harbert (co-owner) is a veteran of the Air Force and worked for Delta Airlines as an aircraft mechanic for 30 years. During the pandemic, Delta was forced to retire thousands of employees due to the effect that COVID had on the travel industry and Doug was one of those retirees. Starting our business was in our 5 year plan (after retirement at 35 years of service), but the pandemic just put that plan into fast-forward and I (Michelle- wife and co-owner) was excited to build a business with my husband doing what we loved. As land-owners ourselves, we know the challenges that come with that (drainage problems, dead trees, vine and brush over-growth, storm damage, etc.). We truly enjoy working with our customers to attain their vision for their property.
