The education program provides enriching natural and environmental science classes to over 27,000 local school children in Contra Costa County. Students learn about geology, pollination, plant anatomy, water conservation, composting, wildlife and more. The Gardens is also a great choice for weddings, meetings, memorials and parties. With a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces, guests can experience a truly unforgettable event surrounded by the beauty of nature. The Gardens at Heather Farm is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and is supported by donations, memberships, class registrations, rental fees, and other programs. Access to the garden is free.
