About the Business
The Library Restaurant & Pub is a family-owned eatery located in a beautiful French Chateau, offering guests a unique dining experience with a hint of history and plenty of art. In 2011, the restaurant underwent a management change and again in late 2012, when a cosmetic overhaul and menu revamp was undertaken. As a result of these changes, The Library has been ranked #38 out of 2000 restaurants in Indianapolis - an impressive feat!
The Library's signature dish is their prime rib, which is aged in-house and rubbed with a special blend of herbs before being slow-roasted overnight for maximum tenderness. Served with ruby port au jus and creamy horseradish sauce, it is a popular choice for diners. Other popular dishes include stuffed salmon and fall-off-the-bone braised barbeque ribs.
The full service bar offers classic cocktails, or you can try one of their own concoctions. There are also two banquet rooms and two board rooms available to accommodate events or business needs, each with audio-visual equipment and complimentary wireless internet.

- It began as the dream of Lou Jenn to bring France to Indy. The streets were lined with limos on opening night. While the Mon Rêve (French for "My Dream") dripped with finery like the German crystal chandeliers you can still see today, it was ahead of its time. Soon the guests left and the rooms lie quiet. Mary, Al's wife, guessed what was going on and left a very simple message on Al's voicemail. "Do NOT buy a restaurant!" Al met this friend and saw the run-down building but, he also saw a grand entrance, fountain with Venus and rooms still adorned with European décor. Al saw a dream and forgot Mary's words warning. Al bought The Library Restaurant & Pub. Much of the original glamour remains. Additions such as the beautiful bar and patio are where our guests enjoy "A little history, a lot of art, and above all, incredible food!
