The Painter is responsible for mixing paint, matching colors, preparing surfaces, and applying paint. They may also do touch-ups or oversee larger painting projects related to the construction sector.

Painting tasks include: washing walls, mending holes, and removing old paint; mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes; providing decorative and faux finishes; planning and executing the job in an efficient manner; covering the area around the project with cloth or plastic to avoid messes; relocating furniture and equipment; estimating materials and time required; disengaging fixtures such as door knobs and light switch covers; taping off sections; buying paint, brushes, and other supplies from vendors; quoting job prices; tidying up supplies and putting back fixtures when the job is done; and staying in contact with clients to make sure they get the desired results.
