- We purchased this home in 1997 and opened Virginia's House in 1998. It was built in 1913 by CH Tinker, a banker who brought his wealth to Glendale. Mr. Tinker was also the Mayor of Glendale from 1916 to 1922. The two other owners of the home were the Jorgensens and the Hooks. We honor Virginia Hook and the many years she lived here by naming the business after her. Our renovations have been recognized on HGTV's Restore America program and on KGLN's Hidden Historic Treasures. We are also the 2010 recipients of the Ruth Byrne Historic Preservation Award.
