- The name GONNERING has been a family-owned and operated independent real estate office since 1949. The company was founded by Vincent W. Gonnering and it was first named Acme Realty. Later Vincent added an insurance business to the name and the company became V.W. Gonnering Realtors and Insurers, Inc. in 1959. Since then, Vincent's first son, William V. Gonnering ran the business from 1969 to 1979. In 1979, David L. Gonnering, Vincent's second son, took over the company which only focus was building custom homes. In 1991, David re-started Gonnering Realty. He remained the president of both V.W. Gonnering, Inc. (Custom Homes) and Gonnering Realty, Inc. (Real Estate) until December 31, 2006. Rosemarie H. Bogosian "2007 Realtor of the Year" became the owner and President of Gonnering Realty, Inc. in 2007. It's the first time in the history of the company that a non-family member has become president and the sole share holder.
