Gallery Calvin Charles Gallery has grown from a modest Asian antique dealer to a premier contemporary art destination. The Gallery is situated on North Marshall Way in the center of the quickly emerging contemporary art district of Scottsdale, Arizona. Housing works from artists around the globe, Calvin Charles Gallery has proven to be a prime destination in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area for local and international art collectors.
Our new building, constructed in 2002, offers plenty for all tastes. From the spectacular high ceiling and glass front of the main gallery space on the ground level, to the apartment upstairs ( available for private functions ) and roof top sculpture terrace, Calvin Charles Gallery provides a variety of exhibition spaces necessary to compliment art work from around the world.
Calvin Charles Gallery brings together an eclectic blend of nternational artists living and working in China, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Japan, modern masters of Europe and the Americas, mid-career nationally recognized artists, and local emerging treasures.
The Gallery offers a unique perspective on the state of the world of contemporary art. The works of Kyoko Ibe, Ju Ming, Hou Rong, Fang Xiang, and Quang Em Do are included in our ever rotating collection of contemporary Asian work. Beyond the work included in our collection, Calvin Charles Gallery has participated in traveling exhibitions highlighting works by Fernando Botero and Aurora Canero.
We are also pleased to represent nationally renowned artists such as Gail Chase Bien, Brower Hatcher, Pascal, Neil Hadlock, Jeffrey Gluck, and Patricia Sherwood who have been represented in museum exhibitions and have been key additions to dynamic public collections.
While enlisted in a dialogue of international and historic art, Calvin Charles Gallery also works diligently to discover and expose artists from around the United States to the growing local art community. Calvin Charles Gallery and The Sanctuary on Camelback Resort and Spa in Scottsdale have an ongoing partnership in art.

L A Artcore Center
LA ARTCORE was founded in 1979 by Lydia Takeshita, who was a Professor of Art at California State University, Los Angeles. Ms. Takeshita found that her graduate students wanted a continuing contact with art professionals, and a group of graduate students met informally at Brookside Park for critique of their works, and for discussions on relevant issues. After a couple of years of meeting outdoors, the group wanted an exhibition space in which to display their work. CSULA allow them to use their 501 ( c ) and a gallery was opened in old town Pasadena on Raymond Street. When the works began to sell, the accountants at CSULA advise the establishment of a separate, non-profit gallery.Since its inception, LA Artcore, its artists, and contributing members have worked to provide exhibition spaces and a continuing dialogue between artists of diverse cultural backgrounds, as well as with the art viewing public. At present, Artcore maintains two exhibition spaces, the Union Center for the Arts and the Brewery Annex, where new and original art works are displayed each month. Artcore also sponsors several exchange shows which bring artists from around the globe to Southern California, and provides local artists with opportunities to have their works seen abroad. LA ARTCORE is a non-profit organization that helps develop the careers of visual artists and brings innovative contemporary art to the public. Artcore opens two exhibition venues to artists of all ages and diverse cultural backgrounds, and conducts educational service programs that enhance the interaction of artists and their surrounding constituencies.
