This majestic home features 5,000 sqft of living space, including a group room, study, formal dining room, gourmet kitchen, two fireplaces, upstairs gathering room, and five bedrooms that can comfortably accommodate up to 23 people. On the property is also a 3,500 sqft rustic barn, perfect for hosting weddings, retreats, family reunions, and other large events.

Via Vecchia Venue
Via Vecchia Venue is a 6000 square foot building with a 14000 square foot walled garden, located in the city. This 1940s structure features a barrel vaulted ceiling with exposed ironwork and a mezzanine level, making it the ideal industrial chic event venue for up to 225 guests.The venue offers an indoor/outdoor experience covering 20,000 square feet. Guests can enjoy a private walled courtyard ceremony or dance floor space, as well as a veranda with bistro lighting for a cocktail hour. There is also an optional outdoor signature drink bar or small covered ceremony space available.Inside, the large open floor plan includes crystal chandeliers, bistro lighting, Chivari chairs, farm tables and a fully stocked bar. The mezzanine level provides extra possibilities, such as a DJ placement, on-site photo booth set up or a soft seating gathering space. There is also a private bridal suite with a make up counter with light bar, soft seating and private bathroom. For parents, there is a private room available for nursing mothers and baby changing needs. All bar packages include Via Vecchia's globally recognized award winning natural wines and house-made sangria. Glassware and bar staff are also included. - The home was built in 1887 by Thomas Jefferson Means. He and his wife Cora Boydston lived here their entire lives. During that time, they had 6 children. When Thomas and Cora passed, their daughter Elizabeth took over the home with her husband Dr. M.C. Boydston. They intern lived her their entire lives and had two children, Evelyn and Lucille. When Evelyn passed away in her 90's, her then husband Frank Ferguson took over the home. In 2003, he auctioned off the then 400-acre estate in pieces. The home, barn, and five acres are all that remains today. In 2003, the home was purchase and renovations began. In January 2012, Theresa Hubbard, purchased the renovated home. Theresa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Liberty, MO. She purchased the home with the intent of doing group retreats and called it, "The Journey Home." After opening and holding several retreats, people became interested in using the space for weddings and now, we do several throughout the year.
