- Warren and Barbara English began the company in 1970 with a $500 loan to buy a Chevy van. After much hard work and dedication, a decision was made to open a retail location. They bought a corner grocery store at 500 N. Turnbull Dr. in Metairie and have been in continuous operation at this location for over 50 years. Upon their retirement in 2003, the company was sold to their daughter Michele. Michele English Pool World serves the entire New Orleans region specializing in residential pool service and renovations. We have an A rating with the Better Business Bureau.
