About the Business
In 1985, a teenage Robin Alvis saw an opportunity to start a business and with that, Toucan Productions was created. He stored the band's show equipment in his parents' garage and rented out the staging and lighting during down time. Over the years, the business grew and they moved into a warehouse space and added more full-time team members. In 2008, they purchased a 50,000 square-foot warehouse near downtown OKC, and they now have 25 full-time employees, a massive inventory, and over 1,000 annual bookings, making them one of the largest providers of lighting, staging, and sound in the Southwest.
In 1991, Misty Myers joined Toucan. She helped to drive the growth of the company, and today, Toucan Productions is the largest provider of lighting, staging, and sound in Oklahoma. They are known for putting on killer shows and providing quality services to their clients.

- The year was 1985... And teenager Robin Alvis was rocking in the band, Ibex, performing by night and storing the band's show equipment in his parents' garage by day. Recognizing a business opportunity, Robin also rented out the band's staging and lighting during down time - thus, Toucan Productions was born. Over the next few years, Robin acquired more equipment, as he focused more on putting on killer shows for others and less on his own. Misty Myers joined Toucan in 1991, and the 90's was marked by a move into legitimate warehouse space and the addition of several more full-time team members. In 2008, Toucan purchased a 50,000 square-foot warehouse near downtown OKC. With 25 full-time employees, a massive inventory, and over 1,000 annual bookings, they are the largest provider of lighting, staging and sound in Oklahoma and one of the largest in the Southwest.
