Chris Heavens began his legal career in 1991, working for a litigation law firm that largely defended corporations and insurers. He quickly acquired a reputation as a talented and assertive litigator, winning cases in favor of the company's wealthy clients. While these courtroom success stories increased the profits of the law firm, they left Chris feeling somewhat hollow, as he could personally identify with the working class people he had just defeated. This prompted him to rethink what he wanted his legacy to be at the end of his career.
