- Built in 1929, this beautiful facility served generations as St. Frances of Rome Elementary School, and for forty-five years the building was a treasured gathering place for the entire neighborhood. After the school closed in 1975, the building was home to several: Stage One: Louisville Children's Theatre, a school for special needs children, and several other community groups. In 1989, St. Frances of Rome parish and a few community leaders began to restore the theatre and in 1994 the Clifton Center was spun off as a separate, independent nonprofit organization. In January 2018, Holy Trinity Parish School entered into a long-term lease with St. Frances of Rome Church. Future plans are to upgrade the facility and as well as the theatre. Holy Trinity Clifton Campus will continue to rent the theatre and other rooms in the facility to the community. Also in August of 2019, a school for children with language based learning differences will open.
