- A former manager at a tech start-up, Scott Kato jumped into the real estate world after reading a book about the industry. He launched his own business in 2002, and within six months he was recognized as "Rookie of the Year" for Coldwell Banker. Scott formed the Kato Group in 2006, shortly later recruiting long time friend and licensed appraiser of 10 years Jessica Panzica as a partner. Kato Group ranked #1 in gross sales for Coldwell Banker Coastal Alliance in 2010. In 2011, as the top-producing agent, Scott was selected with other industry leaders to launch a new Keller Williams office in Long Beach, where the team has grown to 11 members.
