About Nucleus Since October of 2004, Nucleus has strived to be a welcoming gathering place for the art loving community by offering quality art, art-related goods, and rarities. Focusing primarily on gallery exhibits, we have also had benefit auctions, product signings, music events, and artist lectures.
After three and a half years, we moved one block east to a much larger and more dynamic space. Still in the heart of quaint downtown Alhambra, we re-opened in March of 2008 with over 2000 square feet of open gallery space, 1000 square feet of shop/boutique, and over 3000 square feet of studio/production space.
Having exhibited both local artists and artists from abroad, and catering to an international customer base, we offer an extensive collection of original contemporary, illustrated, graphic, commercial, and narrative art - all of which are carefully catalogued on our website.

The Marengo Gallery
The Marengo Gallery is a new contemporary Chinese art gallery in Pasadena, CA. The goal of the gallery is to introduce contemporary Chinese art to the public through regular exhibitions and to educate the public by hosting gallery talks, gallery tours, and other events. While many galleries dedicated to contemporary Chinese art exist in New York and London, the Marengo Gallery is the only gallery on the west coast solely dedicated to contemporary Chinese art. The artists represented by the gallery have frequently exhibited in China, other parts of Asia, and Europe; however, only a few of the artists have ever exhibited in the United States, and none have exhibited on the west coast. The Marengo Gallery provides a space for these artists to display their work to the American public and gain more exposure.

Paul Thiebaud Gallery
Contemporary art gallery exhibiting paintings and works on paper by artists at all stages of their careers - from emerging to established. Some represented artists include: Michael Beck, Tom Birkner, Fred Dalkey, Eileen David, David Fertig, Kim Frohsin, Grace Munakata, Ed Musante, Michael Tompkins, and Suong Yangchareon. Dolby Chadwick Gallery
Established by Lisa Dolby Chadwick in San Francisco in 1997, Dolby Chadwick Gallery represents an international roster of emerging and mid-career artists working in traditional and hybrid media, including oil painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and photography. The Gallery seeks to exhibit articulate, visceral, and provocative new work, and to support its artists in the development of their creative processes and visions. Embracing a diversity of subject matter, styles that range from photorealism to abstraction, and approaches that prioritize both the aesthetic and the conceptual, the Gallery's program focuses on works wherein the artist's dedication to craft, observation, and materials is evident. A common thread throughout the work is an interest in exploring and redefining visual perception and optical effects--celebrating the unexpected surprise of sight and insight of visual experience. Gallery artists have been reviewed in Art in America, Art Ltd., ARTnews, Art Practical, ARTWORKS, The Huffington Post, the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, and the San Francisco Chronicle, among others. Artists have been awarded fellowships and honored by the National Endowment for the Arts, the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, the San Francisco Arts Commission, the Guggenheim Fellowship, the Washington Arts Council, Academy of Arts & Letters, and the National Academy of Design.

Vessel Gallery is an established Oakland cultural arts exhibition gallery. Voted "Best of the Bay Area 2011" by San Francisco Magazine, "Best Gallery in East Bay 2012" by Readers and Editor East Bay Express, "Best Art Gallery 2013" by Oakland Magazine. Vessel Gallery exhibits emerging and established artists, including local and international.
