About the Business
Bathtub refinishing, also known as bathtub resurfacing, reglazing or re-enameling, is a process that restores the surface of a worn or damaged bathtub to its original condition. Any chips or cracks are usually repaired with Bondo or a similar polyester putty. After repairs have been made, the surface is prepped by acid etching to create a porous surface that allows the new coating to adhere. Some newer refinishing processes rely only on a silane adhesion promoter and do not require etching. A primer is then applied and topped off with a two component cross-link synthetic white coating. This coating does not have the same level of durability or abrasive tolerance as the original factory-new bathtub finish. Coatings used for a new bathtub finish can be epoxies, urethanes, hybrid polyester-polyurethane, or polymers and are always sprayed on and never rolled on. Correa Custom Coatings provides quality refinishing services to help restore your bathtub to its former glory.
We take pride in the quality of our services, and aim to ensure that your needs are met quickly and efficiently. Our experienced team of professionals is here for you, so don't hesitate to get in touch today.

- My name is Joe Correa and in 2000 I picked up a trade as a bathtub refinishing technician. I instantly fell in love with the craft, and enjoyed serving my customers and doing what I like best: bathtubs. In 2007, I began preparing to go on my own adventure, and by late 2008 I started Correa Custom Coatings. I've had a good run these past few years and now offer a 5 year warranty on any work done by Correa Custom Coatings. I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve many communities in the Midwest.
