Since 1993, Art One Gallery, Inc. has showcased work from local artists, students, The Autism Academy and One Step Beyond Group. Full proceeds of sold works go back to the student to help them pay for supplies and the cost of living. The art gallery also offers a display of paper pieces from students age 5-18 from the Autism Academy of Phoenix. Art Classes: We offer a variety of realistic painting and drawing classes, workshops and seminars. The courses are based on the approach used by the traditional art schools where figure painting/drawing was considered the most important genre. This approach includes thorough drawing, great understanding of the structure and anatomy of the human figure, the ways of measuring proportions, seeing the unique characteristics of the form, and learning to see tonal values in relation to the whole rather than to the neighboring areas. Fine Art Gallery: The gallery is envisioned as a sanctuary for realist art that combines classical craftsmanship and contemporary concepts and will exhibit paintings by Mokina and Pakhomkin and group shows by local and international artists who share the gallery's philosophy. Interior Design: We do everything from simple wall treatments to designing complex spaces filled with highly realistic murals, decorative borders and faux finishes.
The Marengo Gallery
The Marengo Gallery is a new contemporary Chinese art gallery in Pasadena, CA. The goal of the gallery is to introduce contemporary Chinese art to the public through regular exhibitions and to educate the public by hosting gallery talks, gallery tours, and other events. While many galleries dedicated to contemporary Chinese art exist in New York and London, the Marengo Gallery is the only gallery on the west coast solely dedicated to contemporary Chinese art. The artists represented by the gallery have frequently exhibited in China, other parts of Asia, and Europe; however, only a few of the artists have ever exhibited in the United States, and none have exhibited on the west coast. The Marengo Gallery provides a space for these artists to display their work to the American public and gain more exposure.
