Affordable Roofing & Solar, a family-run business established in 1995, began offering high-quality roofing services to their local community. The owners showed their commitment to the area by joining the two local Chambers of Commerce, volunteering on various committees, and supporting local schools and charities. Soon, Affordable Roofing & Solar became the go-to roofing contractor in South County.

In the early years, Affordable Roofing & Solar earned recognition from GAF Materials Corporation - the largest shingle manufacturer in the US - joining the top 3% of roofers nationwide as a Master Elite contractor. Customer service was always a priority for the company, and it became part of their growth process. Through listening to their customers, Affordable Roofing & Solar uncovered a common issue - hot attics were making interior temperatures uncomfortable, despite attic venting. After researching solutions, the business decided to add Low-E radiant barrier insulation to their product portfolio - a decision that proved extremely popular with customers. This product was made mandatory by California Title 24 a few years later.

In 2003, the owners' son graduated from San Jose State with an Environmental Studies and Alternative Energy degree. He went on to gain practical experience in the solar industry for several years, before joining the family business. With his expertise, Affordable Roofing & Solar expanded to provide solar solutions as well, becoming a one-stop shop for roofing and renewable energy solutions.
