- A&J Fencing was established in 2001 by Anthony and Justin Lena. The father and son duo started in their garage with one truck and one trailer. Their goal was to put out a better product than track home builders and landscapers. With hard work and determination, they were able to build a small business providing jobs for over 20 employees. In 2009 the "great recession" hit hard. The company was rocked to its core. A&J Fencing was able to tighten their bootstraps, keep their nose to the grindstone and stay afloat, keeping nearly 90% of the employees. Most of A&J Fencing employees have worked with the company for over 8 years, some as long as 15 years! This can say a lot for a fence company. In 2012, as the economy regained strength in so did A&J Fencing. A&J Fencing was able to add new products to the lineup and start milling their own redwood products.
