We have 13 branches in San Francisco, plus an additional seven in the Bay Area. We have grown on the West Coast, now having six branches in Los Angeles and a branch and loan staff in Bellevue, Washington. In 2017, Sterling Bank & Trust opened up their division SBT Advantage Bank in New York, offering the same high quality banking solutions, inventive loan products, and great customer service that have made Sterling Bank & Trust a success. SBT Advantage Bank has two branches in Brooklyn and Flushing.

- In 1984, Scott Seligman of The Seligman Group, a leader in development and management of commercial and residential properties throughout the western U.S., chartered the Sterling Savings and Loan Association, which focused on mortgage lending and servicing. In 1990, an expansion of Sterling led to the development of the commercial lending division, including equipment leasing and financing, as well as commercial real estate lending. In 1993 with the addition of a Trust division Sterling became Sterling Bank And Trust, FSB, a Federal Savings Bank. Today, we have 20 branches in San Francisco Bay area and have expanded on the West Coast into Los Angeles, where we currently have five branches, and a loan production office in Seattle. In 2017, Sterling Bank & Trust expanded to New York with its division, SBT Advantage Bank, with loan production offices in Manhattan and Flushing. We continue to grow our bank to better serve our customers and the communities we serve across the country.
