G&G Structures' senior engineer has designed seismic retrofits for soft-weak story (open front wall line buildings since the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. We designed and evaluated over a hundred buildings before mandatory provisions per the City of Los Angeles ordinance 183893.  Property owners, lenders, and insurance underwriters have relied on G&G Structures for the past 20 years for multi-family buildings.  G&G Structures will carefully evaluate the building to develop the most cost efficient solution.  Each building is unique and requires a unique solution.  Some buildings can be retrofitted with new conventional shear walls or pre-manufactured shear wall panels and yet others will require a steel moment frame or a cantilevered column (flagpole). G&G Structures can develop as-built drawings for design, engineer a solution, and assist with the permit process for our clients.
