- John Randolph is a multi-faceted San Francisco-based Environmental Designer working at the confluence of Architecture, Furniture Design and the Visual Arts. In 1984 Randolph co-founded Interim Office Of Architecture (IOOA) with schoolmate Bruce Tomb. IOOA is best known for its provocative site-specific works, which include 'The Latrine Project' at Headlands Center for the Art and the "Gnomon," commissioned by San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art. In 1997 IOOA was retired and John launched and currently heads Randolph Designs (RD) - his independent studio. He is also a founding member of Unified Studios for Design and Architecture (USDA), winner of the "Best Body Of Work" Award presented by New York's International Contemporary Furniture Fair in 1999. IOOA, USDA and RD's bodies of Work have been widely exhibited and featured prominently in Design and Art-related books and periodicals internationally.
