About the Business

At ATOCWOOD Inc., we specialize in traditional hardwood flooring, offering installation, repairs and refinishing services. We are a dealer for most major hardwood flooring brands and serve the whole of the Phoenix Metro area, as well as Sedona, Flagstaff and Prescott. Owner David Sacco has residences in both the Valley and Sedona, making Northern Arizona an integral part of our company's work.

We have over 30 years of experience and completed more than 6,000 projects, so we are more than knowledgeable when it comes to hardwood floors. We also have proprietary techniques for matching existing wood floors, making us a popular choice for repair work. Additionally, we have our own millwork shop where we make custom baseboards and replicate discontinued prefinished floors when necessary.

Our expertise in floor finishing also makes us suitable for other woodworking projects, such as crafting fireplace mantles, cabinet and furniture repair and duplicating existing cabinet or shelving units. Furthermore, we also refinish exterior doors that have been damaged by the Arizona weather.

  • We are a different kind of operation, low overhead to save both you and us money. Long on tools and experience. Fiercely committed to doing things the right way, and endlessly creative in offering woodworking solutions. David Sacco has been in the flooring business since 1980. With a background in custom builder finish carpentry, and an education in Construction Engineering, he learned the hardwood trade from employees unable to resist going out on the hardwood jobs after purchasing an existing flooring business. There was a year in the early 90's when he still had an operation selling all types of flooring in San Diego after starting A Touch of Class Hardwood doing only wood floors in Phoenix. After a year of back and forth twice a week, it got to be too much. The deciding factor of which way to go was that he found the customers in Arizona much more pleasant. There's a certain tension to dealing with that high cost of living in San Diego and Phoenix people seemed much more relaxed.
