Elizabeth Feria was born and raised in Peru, where she was exposed to the business world at a young age through family and friends. In 1992, she came to the US at the age of 26 to attend a work conference for accountants. During her time at the accounting firm, Elizabeth saw the need for a company that catered to the Latino community and entrepreneurs, so she opened EF America in 1994 in Wheaton, Silver Spring, MD.
Since then, Elizabeth has held the position of President of the Latino Festival of Montgomery County for five years, during which time attendance went from 5,000 to 100,000. She has traveled to places like Polynesia, Africa, the Caribbean, Israel, western Europe and South America, and is fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese.
