- Although born and raised in Delaware, Don Holcomb started the company in 1976 performing framing and siding in Colorado. He moved back to Delaware to start his family in 1982. A year later he incorporated in Delaware and began building 100 homes/yr for the big builders, performing all the rough framing, decks, trim and cabinetry for their projects. During the same time frame, he completely designed and built 5-6 custom homes until 1990 when he decided to specifically focus on kitchens. In 1990, Don opened up Holcomb Kitchens averaging 40 custom kitchens per year. Over the next 20+ years Holcomb developed an exceptional reputation in the Wilmington area. In 2012, Holcomb Cabinetry moved back into Claymont with a new emphasis, focusing specifically on design and supply of a wide variety of cabinets, vanities and like products at wholesale prices to home owners and contractors alike. Presently, Holcomb Cabinetry can design projects of any size with prices that can beat the box stores.
