About the Business
The mission of Discovery Institute is to champion a culture of purpose, creativity and innovation. This idea originates from the ancient Hebrews, Greeks, and Christians, and was later developed by the Founding Fathers of the United States. It is believed that human minds, rather than material things, are the greatest source of creation, and it is this belief which has empowered humanity to make remarkable discoveries, and to uphold individual uniqueness and worth.
In addition, this Judeo-Christian ethos has led to the establishment of the rule of law, the protection of human rights, and the development of democratic constitutions. It has also enabled the progress of science and technology, as well as economic growth and advancement.
On the other hand, the modern materialistic worldview denies the inherent freedom of humans and weakens scientific creativity and technological innovation. Instead, this perspective of a finite world with limited prospects encourages ideologies of scarcity, conflict, and mistrust.
