Have you ever imagined stepping into a virtual world entirely of your own creation? Thanks to rapid technological advancements, this fantasy is becoming reality through an innovative university program in Taiwan.

HTC has partnered with the Department of Arts and Creative Design at National University of Kaohsiung to launch a groundbreaking undergraduate course called "WebXR 3D Immersive Creation." This hands-on program empowers students to build original 3D virtual spaces with cultural depth and social perspective—without requiring any prior coding experience.

No-Code Creation Platform

The course leverages HTC's VIVERSE Create platform, which uses a no-code design approach that allows creators to focus on imagination rather than technical barriers. This innovative tool removes traditional learning constraints, enabling students to rapidly prototype immersive environments that showcase their artistic vision.

"This platform fundamentally changes how we approach digital creation," explained Associate Professor Wang Zheng-Hong, one of three faculty members leading the course. "Students can immediately translate their ideas into tangible virtual spaces without getting bogged down by technical complexities."

From Classroom to Exhibition

During the "Media Innovation Design" module, student teams produced eleven distinct immersive experiences. Their work culminated in the "Wandering Between Real and Virtual" exhibition that drew significant campus attention, including remarks from University President Chen Qi-Ren.

"This program demonstrates how academic concepts can transform into commercially viable applications," President Chen noted during the exhibition's opening. "Our students aren't just learning about the future—they're actively building it."

Preparing for Web4 and Beyond

The collaboration goes beyond traditional education by equipping students with practical skills for emerging technologies like AI, XR, and the coming Web4 landscape. According to HTC representatives, the VIVERSE platform gives participants real-world experience that will position them at the forefront of digital innovation.

As virtual and physical realities continue to converge, programs like this ensure the next generation of creators will enter the field not just as observers, but as architects of our digital future.
