Manhattan Rent Decline Interaction of Market Recovery and Reduced Competition

The vacancy rate rose to 3.07%, the highest level since 2021. The number of available rentals increased by 40%, leading to more lenient leasing terms and reduced competition, with properties averaging 31 days on the market. Despite the drop in rent, prices are still up 8.2% compared to a year ago.
