In 1981, Rich, Jerry and Ken Vallow, along with Rich's wife Beverly, began a flooring retail business in Edwardsville, Illinois. Over the following decade, the company grew, increasing its staff and installers, and converting warehouses into retail display spaces. An extension was built to their warehouse in 1985 and another expansion in 1991 added more showroom space.
To stay up-to-date with the Edwardsville area and flooring industry, Vallow Floor Covering opened a wholesale outlet in 1999. This addition increased their inventory and catered to small contractors and DIY homeowners.
In 2006, Vallow Floor Covering moved to a new 15,000 sq. ft. facility just off Highway 157 South near Center Grove Rd. This full service flooring center provides remodel and new construction services for residential and commercial customers, and includes a flooring design center and wholesale outlet. Customers can find numerous styles, textures, colors and qualities to fit any budget, and a friendly and knowledgeable staff is always available to assist with any flooring or tile project.
