- The 80 acres of pasture, meadows and woods that make up Kelsey Creek Farm were purchased by the City of Bellevue in 1968. However, the history as a farm goes back to 1921 when Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Duey rented 190 acres, all of which were uncleared and stump-covered from logging around 1900. The Dueys cleared, built a barn and began delivering milk, cream and butter, stamped with their farm's name, Twin Valley Farm. In 1942, Mr. Michaels bought the farm and built the second barn before selling to the Fisher family in 1945. The Fishers raised beef cattle until the City purchased the land, one step ahead of developers.
