Lynde Greenhouse & Nursery has been a family-run business for five generations. It began in Golden Valley around the turn of the century, growing and selling vegetables and flowers. In 1971, the company relocated to Maple Grove, where Ed Lynde opened a retail Garden Center in 1982. This proved to be so successful that a larger, more modern Garden Center was built in 1989, which is still in use today. In 1993, Lynde Greenhouse & Nursery took a major step forward and became the first greenhouse in Minnesota to install permanent conveyors for transporting their plant products. Today, they supply plants for their retail garden center, as well as residential and commercial off-site installations, landscapers, retailers, and fundraising programs. They offer a variety of seasonal plants, such as Easter Lilies, Geraniums, Garden Mums, and Poinsettias, among others.
