We use two types of wood in our products: maple and oak. Maple is commonly used for furniture, paneling and millwork, kitchen cabinets, moldings, doors, musical instruments, and turnings. It has a white and light tannish brown heartwood, with darker colored pith flecks. The texture of the wood is fine and uniform, and it is heavy, hard, and strong. It has good bending properties, with good crushing strength and shock resistance.

The Latin name for oak, Quercus, translates to "a fine tree." This type of wood has been essential in America's industrial transformation, being used for railroad ties, wheels, plows, looms, barrels, furniture, and floors. The sapwood of red oak is white to light brown and the heartwood is a pinkish reddish brown. It is mostly straight-grained with a coarse texture. It is hard and heavy, with medium bending strength and stiffness, and high crushing strength making it suitable for steam bending.
