About the Business
Engineering for Kids provides STEM education to children between the ages of 4 and 14 through after-school programs, classes, camps, workshops, and birthday parties. We also offer home schooled students, scouts events, in-school field trips, and parent's night out events. Our goal is to empower kids to build problem-solving skills, explore engineering as a career option, and gain a better understanding of math and science by engaging them in real-world engineering problems. Through our programs, we encourage children to learn how things work and foster their curiosity and creativity.
With our commitment to service and customer satisfaction, we strive to exceed expectations each and every time. Contact us today to find out how we can help.

- Dori Roberts began her teaching career in 1999. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Math and Science Elementary/Middle Education in 1997 and a Master of Science degree in Technology Education in 2000. The International Technology Education Association recognized Mrs. Roberts as an Outstanding Graduate Student in 1999 by awarding her the "Spirit of Excellence Student Citation Award". In 2003, she was awarded "Exemplary Leadership Citation" for her contributions to the development of the Virginia Technology Student Association. Engineering for Kids began when she noticed that there was a lack of engineering programs in the area to enroll her then 6 and 8 year old children.
