Founded in 1984 in San Francisco by a psychologist and an artist in response to the nationwide de-institutionalization of disabled people in the United States, Creativity Explored is a nonprofit serving the neurodiverse community with the ethos that creative expression and art is a human right. The studio and gallery have welcomed hundreds of developmentally disabled artists and facilitated their careers in the contemporary art world locally in the Bay Area and internationally. 4th Street Fine Art
4th Street Fine Art is an ongoing collaborative art project, a member based studio, a performance space and an art gallery all rolled into one. As a member based studio/gallery space, we offer memberships to artists, free monthly art receptions, performances and an eclectic variety of art for sale. Our collection of art rotates as each of our members create new work, and we currently house 19 artists. We specialize in painting, jewelry, sculpture and limited edition prints.
