They are passionate about letterpress printing, an art and craft that was popular in the 15th century and is appreciated anew in the 21st century. The print shop sets the stage for a range of activities and programming. These include hands-on arts workshops, an Open Studio program, educational partnerships with universities and schools, and collaborations with other arts and culture organizations. Signal-Return is helping to revitalize Detroit and support the local art community. Visitors can find unique artwork that was created locally while they explore the Eastern Market for locally grown produce. The former egg crate production building is now filled with creative expression and communication.
