This company sold new and used typewriters near the Peabody Hotel on Second Street.
Customer service has always been a priority for Cooper Systems, and as technology advanced, the product lines expanded to include electric typewriters, metal furniture, and calculating machines. In the 1970s, Melvin B. Cooper, the son of Harry S. Cooper, imported the first electronic calculators to the Memphis area. This was followed by the introduction of electronic typewriters and programmable calculators.
In 1974, the third generation of Coopers joined the business when Lee Cooper worked fulltime for the company following many summers in the business. As the years have progressed, Cooper Systems has continued to stay ahead of the curve by offering the latest in hardware and software technology. Today, they remain dedicated to providing excellent customer service in the greater Memphis area.
