About the Business
West Memphis Fence & Construction, Inc., was established in 1967 by Pat Turns and Bill Bius under the name Hurricane Fence. The company was renamed a year later to better reflect the range of services they provided.
In 1987, Steven Bius, Bill's oldest son, joined the company and was soon followed by his younger brother Jason in 1998. In 2009, the business expanded further with the opening of a new branch in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
The company has seen great success since its founding, particularly with the arrival of The Austin Company in Memphis to construct the Federal Express Complex. West Memphis Fence has since been involved in many high profile projects, including prisons, baseball complexes, all the Tunica Casinos, Memphis International Airport projects, and auto off-load facilities. They have also completed work for many local general contractors in the Memphis area.
Today, West Memphis Fence employs six estimators, an office manager, two office assistants, two mechanics, three job superintendents, and thirty-five fence installers. With this strong team, the company continues to provide excellent services to both commercial and industrial clients.
