Schlitz Audubon Nature Center is a 185 acre nature preserve located 10 miles north of Milwaukee in Wisconsin, featuring a Gold LEED certified Educational Center and 6 miles of trails for activities such as hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, along with a 60-foot observation tower overlooking Lake Michigan. Our mission is to create meaningful connections between people and nature, while inspiring them to become responsible stewards of the environment.

In addition, Schlitz Audubon Nature Center offers a variety of educational programs and activities for all ages, from toddlers to seniors. They offer two unique services: product design for inventors and entrepreneurial spirits, as well as design of garden and greenhouse based learning programs. For product design, their team can turn a napkin sketch into a product that people will love to buy. They create 3D SolidWorks models, renderings, patent drawings and functional prototypes to show investors, manufacturers and customers. Their designs range from IVF pumps and rowing technologies to iPhone cases and lamps – three of which are patented. Additionally, one of their designs was a finalist for the INDEX: Design Award. The firm also designs garden and greenhouse based learning programs for schools. These educational programs use nature as a fun and hands-on way to teach students the principles of the New York State Learning Standards and Core Curriculum.
