SOMArts

Founded in 1979, SOMArts leverages the power of art as a tool for social change through multi-disciplinary events and exhibitions. SOMArts annually produces 10 visual art exhibitions featuring approximately 200 emerging and experimental Bay Area artists in our Main Gallery. Since 2010, the SOMArts Curatorial Residency has supported over 20 multidisciplinary exhibitions curated by over 50 Bay Area artists. Our Día de los Muertos exhibition, founded by Chicano visionary René Yañez and curated by his son Rio Yañez, annually features 60+ artists uplifting diverse cultural and spiritual traditions associated with mourning. Through our year-long calendar of creative programs, SOMArts reaches over 25,000 Bay Area residents every year, providing multiple opportunities to experience the arts through free or low-cost events at a time when small and mid-sized cultural venues are rapidly disappearing in the Bay Area.

Phoenix Art Museum

Phoenix Art Museum has provided access to visual arts and educational programs in Arizona for more than 60 years and is the largest art museum in the Southwestern United States. In addition to an annual calendar of exhibitions, Phoenix Art Museum’s permanent collection galleries are drawn from more than 19,000 works of American, Asian, European, Latin American, Western American, modern and contemporary art, and fashion design. Visitors also enjoy photography exhibitions through the Museum’s landmark partnership with the Center for Creative Photography, University of Arizona. The Museum presents a variety of public programs year-round, including tours, lectures, films, special events, and more designed to enlighten, entertain and stimulate visitors of all ages. Voluntary-donation times occur every Wednesday from 3 to 7 pm and the first Friday of every month from 3 to 7 pm.

Milton Glaser is a design firm based in New York City which works with clients from all around the world. It specializes in creating designs that reflect the client's desired image and mission. The company's services include corporate identity, website design, environmental and interior design, packaging and product design. The team at Milton Glaser has years of experience in creating designs for many different clients. They work on projects such as logos, stationery, brochures, signage, website design, annual reports, exhibitions, interiors and exteriors of restaurants, shopping malls, supermarkets, hotels, and other retail environments. In addition, they specialize in food and beverage packaging and product design. Clients range from The Brooklyn Brewery, Jet Blue, Target, Coach, Trump, Eleven Madison Park, Alessi, Julliard, The Rubin Museum of Art, Theatre For A New Audience, The School of Visual Arts, Bread Alone, and Philip Roth.

Charmaine Gray Pet Photography

Charmaine Gray Pet Photography has been recognized and rated as one of the best pet photographers in San Diego. In 2019, we were awarded second place in the San Diego County Fair International Exhibition of Photography in the "Our Best Friend" category and had 8 other pet images exhibited. This competition is highly competitive, with only a third of the entries accepted and less than one percent receiving awards. At Charmaine Gray Pet Photography, we specialize in on-location pet photography, studio style portraiture, dog sports and events, and fine art landscapes. Our premium pet photography sessions are personalized and include a pre-session consultation, a one-hour shoot at the location of your choice, an in-person reveal party on a large screen TV, and personal art delivery.Our photos have a vivid, playful and colorful quality, and our relaxed and fun sessions make sure to capture each pet's unique personality. We have experience working with all kinds of animals, including seniors, juveniles, blind or deaf pets, and anxious animals. We strive to provide a premium, personalized experience and gallery-quality wall art that can be enjoyed for generations to come.

Each year, more than 300,000 guests engage with critically acclaimed national and international exhibitions and the Museum's collection of more than 20,000 works of American and Western American, Asian, European, Latin American, modern and contemporary art, and fashion design. The Museum also presents vibrant photography exhibitions made possible through the Museum's landmark partnership with the Center for Creative Photography, University of Arizona. The Museum is open Wednesday-Sunday and open to the public with voluntary-donation admission during the First Friday of every month from 3-7 pm and every Wednesday from 3-7 pm. Palette Restaurant is open. The Lemon Research Library is closed at this time.

Fraenkel Gallery

Established in 1979. Since 1979, Fraenkel Gallery has presented almost 400 exhibitions exploring photography and its relation to other media. The gallery exhibits and publishes significant works of art in a variety of media spanning two centuries.
