Hasna Sal is an artist and sculptor who has studied fine art for four years in England and Wales. During this time she experimented with a variety of media such as pastels, water colors, oils, and acrylics. She held an exhibition of her watercolor renderings at the Royal Cornwall Museum in 1997. Following this, she moved to Boston, MA where she completed a five year professional degree program in architecture and urban design. In 2002, she relocated to Kansas where she worked as an architect and taught design studio at the University of Kansas. Here she encountered glass sculpture, which she has been learning and creating since 2004. Subsequently, she was accepted into Harvard for a postgraduate degree in landscape architecture.Glass Concepts 360 is a unique collection of glass sculptures crafted by Hasna. The sculptures are inspired by the natural world and utilize storytelling techniques to fuse together different concepts. Movement and feeling are expressed through the sculptures, which Hasna draws from her experience as a dancer. Appointments can be made by calling (785) 764-0481.

Open Mind Art Space showcases contemporary art from a diverse blend of talented emerging artists from Los Angeles and beyond. Abrams Claghorn Gallery

Abrams Claghorn Gallery believes that everyone has a unique story to tell through creative expression. We present over 80 local makers in our diverse collection of home goods and art for sale. We also feature local and emerging artists, rotating monthly in our gallery. We showcase works that allow artists to focus on concept and masterful craftsmanship. .There are a several positive results from choosing only local artists as vendors. Most makers in the SF Bay Area are women, and if we choose our vendors based on quality alone, then it naturally follows that we will have a very representitive sampling of the local community, meaning most items in the shop are made by women. And, that also means that with many other factors (culture, ethnicity, age, etc) we have an accurate sampling of the artist community at large. It is important to us that there are no ethical concerns for labor sourcing and few sustainability issues. We know personally 99% of the makers, and what their inventory is made with. None of the items we sell are made in factories. Almost all of the inventory is hand delivered, which means the vendor does not leave packing materials here, and any used by the vendor can be re-used for later transportation and delivery. Last, and very important, it is crucial to us that the vendors get paid a fair amount for the items we sell. That means we are not always as inexpensive as other places.

Art One

Since 1993, Art One Gallery, Inc. has showcased work from local artists, students, The Autism Academy and One Step Beyond Group. This unique art gallery in Scottsdale is located on the west side of Marshall Way between Indian School and 3rd Ave and features a rotating list of featured artists. Full proceeds of sold works go back to the student to help them pay for supplies and the cost of living. Showing their art builds confidence in young artists who are just beginning to work with galleries and the public. The art gallery also offers a display of paper pieces from students age 5-18 from the Autism Academy of Phoenix. All proceeds from purchases go directly back to the school so they can afford art supplies and equipment.
