The George & Leah McKenna Museum of African American Art is an institution dedicated to the collection, interpretation and preservation of art by people of African descent. Ritz Theatre & Museum
The Ritz Theatre & Museum was established in 1999 at the site of the former Ritz Theater in Jacksonville's La Villa neighbourhood. This area was famously known as the "Harlem of the South" during its peak years in the 1920s-1960s. The mission of the Ritz Theatre & Museum is to research, collect, and save the cultural and artistic heritage of African American life in Northeast Florida and the African Diaspora, and to present it for educational or entertaining purposes.The museum offers visitors a chance to explore its collections and exhibits, which feature displays about the history and culture of the local African American community.
