The Gardens At Heather Farm

The Gardens at Heather Farm is a public garden, education center and special event venue located in Walnut Creek, California. With six acres of diverse landscapes, it offers a beautiful and inspiring atmosphere for the community to enjoy. The property is open daily from sunrise to sunset unless closed for a private event. Photography sessions or other group use requires prior reservations and payment of permit fees. The Garden features a Rose Garden, Children's Garden, Sensory Garden, and a Community Garden, providing a tranquil and natural environment for visitors to explore. The education program provides enriching natural and environmental science classes to over 27,000 local school children in Contra Costa County. Students learn about geology, pollination, plant anatomy, water conservation, composting, wildlife and more. The Gardens is also a great choice for weddings, meetings, memorials and parties. With a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces, guests can experience a truly unforgettable event surrounded by the beauty of nature. The Gardens at Heather Farm is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and is supported by donations, memberships, class registrations, rental fees, and other programs. Access to the garden is free.

This includes pony rides, petting farm animals (a.k.a a petting zoo), bounce houses, tables and chairs, barn props for photo ops, toys, and more. If you can't come to us, no problem - we can come to your child's birthday celebration or larger children event. We provide quality, fun, educational, and interactive experiences for children birthday parties, church events, company or corporate events, photography sessions with animals, and more. Our services include mobile pony rides, traveling petting zoo, farm animals for rent, production, film, commercial, theater, and animal displays. We also offer horseback riding lessons for adults and pony riding lessons for kids, as well as seasonal kid camps and barnyard days.Transportation, set up, clean up of messes, pack up of animals, friendly handlers and cute animals, professional, courteous, fun and entertaining staff are all included in the pricing. Plus, there's no problem stopping the pony for that special picture opportunity or family group photo with the animals!
