Maritime Museum of San Diego

Welcome to the Maritime Museum of San Diego! Here you can explore one of the best collections of historic sea vessels and exhibitions in the world. Our museum ships feature something for everyone, from sail to steam to submarines. On board, you can take in the art, maritime history, ship models, commercial fishing and exploration exhibits. To make your visit even more special, add a 45-minute narrated Historic Bay Cruise for just $15.00 per person. On the weekends, you can join a Veteran sailor docent crew of the PCF 816 Swift boat for a 75-minute Naval History Bay tour for an additional $20.00. For an unforgettable experience, join us most weekends for a public adventure sailing aboard the galleon replica San Salvador or tall ship schooner Californian. The Museum of Us is an anthropology museum that encourages dialogue and self-reflection by showcasing various elements of the human experience from a variety of cultural perspectives. During your visit, you'll be immersed in a range of interactive exhibits that span a broad array of human history and culture. Climb the California Tower to see San Diego from a different perspective and learn about the city's diverse heritage. "Cannibals: Myth & Reality" shines light on the misconception of cannibals, and asks the question - could you be one? In "Living with Animals," discover all the surprising, unique, and inspiring ways people have interacted with animals throughout time. "PostSecret" features a community art project and uncovers how secrets can connect us all. Kids can explore their fears in "Monsters!", an exhibit that investigates how fear has been turned into mythical creatures. Museum of Contemporary Art

The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD) in Core-Columbia is proud to present Downtown at Sundown. This after-hours event takes place on the third Thursday of every month from 5 to 8 PM and features free admission and guided tours of exhibitions at MCASD Downtown and SDSU Downtown Gallery. Visitors can enjoy a night of culture, craft beer from Stone Brewing Company, and delicious meals and beverages from The Flight Path Wine Bar & Bistro. The Downtown at Sundown series is organized by MCASD in collaboration with local partners SDSU Downtown Gallery, Stone Brewing Company, Downtown San Diego Partnership, and The Flight Path Wine Bar & Bistro. Together, they are committed to offering a unique and vibrant experience for visitors to explore the downtown neighborhood of Core-Columbia.
