Caldwell Snyder Gallery specializes in 21st-century American and European paintings, drawings, sculpture, and limited-edition prints, including major American post-war and emerging contemporary artists. The gallery has developed a particular niche in introducing new collectors to European and Latin American painters and sculptors who have earned a following in their home countries but rarely shown in the United States. Established in 1983 in San Francisco, Caldwell Snyder Gallery has since expanded to two locations: Sutter Street in San Francisco's renowned Union Square district, and downtown St. Helena, Napa Valley, in the turn-of-the-century Star Building, listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
