Austin Creative Alliance

Austin Creative Alliance (ACA) works to strengthen the creative sector in the region by advocating for cultural policy, marketing, and communication services. They provide direct services to 51 emerging art groups, 420 member organizations, and individuals across various disciplines. ACA's NowPlayingAustin site and Austin Arts Minute on YNN bring events and activities of 783 organizations to 250,000 households weekly. In addition, ACA sponsored Austin's New Works Theatre Community which earned a $90,000 Mellon Foundation planning grant. Organizations like RudeMechs, FuseBox, and TheatreActionProject have all graduated from ACA's sponsorship program. ACA also partners with Fractured Atlas to give cultural workers affordable health, liability, and teaching artist insurance. Moreover, they are working with Pew Charitable Trusts to bring their Cultural Data Project to Texas to serve artists, funders, and arts organizations. Austin Creative Alliance is funded and supported in part with a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts and the City of Austin through the Cultural Arts Division.
