Slate NY
Slate NY is an upscale two-story sports lounge, night club, restaurant, and events venue located in the Flatiron District of New York City. Boasting both private and semi-private areas, it features a self-serve beer and wine system, as well as many activities such as ping-pong, pool, foosball, and giant Jenga, all set against stylish decor that spans 16,000 square feet. Watch the top sports games of the season on its 40 HDTVs and 9-panel HD video wall, or dance the night away to its Funktion One sound system with cutting-edge club lighting. In addition, Slate NY offers on-site catering, a full menu of tasty modern American cuisine and bar bites, and customizable banquet seating for parties of 10 to 1200 guests. Its dress code is casual Sunday to Thursday, but collared shirts and slacks are preferred for Friday and Saturday nights. Jeans are accepted, but no baggy, graphic, or oversized clothing, work boots, sneakers, athletic attire such as ball caps, jerseys, or sleeveless shirts, sweat shirts, or sweat pants are allowed.
Minneapolis Club
The Minneapolis Club is an inclusive private club that provides its members with a wide range of social and networking opportunities. Located in a central location, the Club is open to the public for events such as weddings and offers its members first-class service. Membership is by invitation only and can be obtained by contacting a current member or calling 612-332-2292 x308. Services offered by the Club include private meetings, confidential events, upscale weddings, convenient downtown parking, board meetings, luncheons, civic organizations, and club gatherings. It is also a top event venue. The Knot has reviewed the Club's wedding services positively, praising the stunning setting, exceptional service, and fun atmosphere. Guests enjoyed the convenience of parking in the adjacent ramp and hotel rooms for family. Chef Hakan's plated dinners were highly praised, and guests remarked that this was the most enjoyable wedding they had ever attended with the best food. With a variety of rooms to explore, guests could find both quiet spots and areas where they could dance the night away. The Minneapolis Club staff received high marks from The Knot for their creativity, ease to work with, and commitment to making the wedding a success.
