The Community House Winnetka is a nonprofit organization situated on Chicago's North Shore that has been serving its community for more than a century. Founded in 1911, the mission of Community House is to offer educational, recreational, social and cultural resources to residents of the North Shore and their families. Offering a variety of classes and programs for people of all ages, the facility also features a Fitness Center and a full gymnasium. Matz Hall is home to theater and dance productions by local groups such as Children's Theater of Winnetka and Village Follies. It is also possible to rent the facility for special occasions like weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, business meetings, as well as housing various North Shore nonprofits. Community House is a privately supported organization that depends on donations and support from the public to be able to keep enriching the lives of North Shore residents.

Troy Community Center

The Troy Community Center offers a wide range of activities to residents of all ages. The center is spread over an area of 127,000 square feet and has a fitness center, recreation classes, public meeting rooms and banquet facilities. It serves as the administrative base for the Recreation Department. People do not need to be a member to take part in programs such as swim lessons, enrichment activities, dance and aerobic classes. This center also houses the Nationally Accredited Senior (50+) Program and the state-licensed Rainbow Preschool Program. Membership at the center allows for access to the fitness center, gymnasium, locker rooms and indoor aquatic area. Members are also eligible for discounts on personal trainer services, massages and childcare services.
