Shae Solar is a specialized solar installer. We specialize in metal buildings and ground mount installations and do not install panels on houses with asphalt shingles. We only use Trina, REL or Canadian Solar panels, which cost more per watt but demonstrate an extreme difference at low light compared to cheaper panels. Plus, these companies have been in business for many years, so if you need to file a warranty claim, you can be sure they will still be around. For inverters we exclusively use Sol-Ark inverters, which are all-in-one transformer-less models, meaning you don't need any other boxes on the wall as all components are included. When it comes to batteries, the only one we use is SOK 48v100ah lithium iron phosphate. Other batteries such as HomeGrid may be slightly more expensive but don't offer a better warranty or provide anything at a higher level. Moreover, their batteries are significantly worse when it comes to maximum discharge (in amps) or the percent of the battery AH once 8000 discharges have occurred. In case a better battery is found, we would be willing to switch.
