About the Business

The Merion Tribute House is an exquisite facility, located on Philadelphia's renowned Main Line. It provides the perfect atmosphere for weddings, corporate events, and other social gatherings. Its design celebrates the early 20th century Arts and Crafts tradition through details such as wood-beamed ceilings, slate floors, and a grand walk-in fireplace. An enchanting wedding balcony can be found too, ideal for the tossing of the bridal bouquet.

The team at Merion Tribute House are dedicated to providing a unique and memorable experience for all their guests. They strive to create a space that is both elegant and inviting, while paying homage to the history and culture of the region. From their creative decorating to their attentive service, they ensure every event is unique and special.

  • Immediately after World War I, there was interest among Merion residents in creating a community center with facilities for cultural and social events as well as a playground for children. Elridge Johnson, founder in 1891 of the Victor Talking Machine Company in Camden, offered to demolish the house on his property and build a "Tribute House" in recognition of the 81 men from Merion who were in the armed services.
